Death Leveling Problems
Hi All,
I've been trying my hand at death leveling but am having no luck getting the monsters to stick around the shrine after killing me. They always want to run back to their home area during the resurrect countdown. I'm basically just attacking them and luring them back to the shrine. The only way I've had any success is to keep entering/leaving Barradin Estate and hoping to spawn 1 or 2 moss spiders right near the shrine, but this doesn't happen very often and I'd like to pull larger groups. I haven't tried the Charr yet, not much hope in doing that if I can't even hold aggro on a bunch of moss spiders. What am I doing wrong? NP |

Try using the search function next time, there are plenty of threads on this.

Maybe it's not possible to do, but excuse me if I missed it in my "search". NP |

You have hit the nail on the head - if your wnating to deathlevel striders or spiders you jsut have to keep rezoning until you get a good spawn. Try the charr instead.

Charr Death Leveling Guide:
http://cenega.googlepages.com/charrdl For the old style of death leveling go outside Barradin Estate, go to the shrine. Ashford Abby works as well, but the shrine is further away. Try to make sure there are at least two spiders or striders who are nearby and it is part of their patrol area or are just hanging around the shrine. Attack them both, (three if you can get 'em) go to the rez shrine, strip off your armour, put it in your inventory, and enjoy the deaths. In a few hours you will have one and only one of them some levels above you. The higher your level the longer it takes. BTW, it is far more practical to kill the Charr Bosses in the Northlands for experience points until you reach level 16. |

Yeah, I haven't tried the Charr dlvling thing yet as it looks kind of complicated . But am still killing the bosses and enjoying the numerous droppings of charr bags and black dyes. Thanks for the replies everyone.

Seriously once you get the hang of charr death leveling there is no comparison. With practise it is easy to setup, go for it.
